After 24 hours you will be paid for each 24 hours detained. For breakdowns, we pay 8 hours per day and layover pay, but this is only over the road. If you are at our home facility, we will provide you another truck. For detention, after a 2 hour wait time, if proper procedures are followed (which is calling at the 1.5 hour mark and getting the in and out times documented on the bills), we pay hourly for each additional hour detained.

Is Tennessee Contract Carriers, Inc. under forced dispatch?

Technically, the answer is yes, but we do our best to be fair and not send drivers to the same place repeatedly. We have a variety of lanes, so we are able to break it up. With our open door policy, we welcome you to let us know of any concerns, and we will do our best to work with you to help remedy any issues that might arise.
